TAURUS: the school desk that changes the standard

News » TAURUS: the school desk that changes the standard

School furniture is evolving, and here at Školex, we’re introducing a new product that has enjoyed success in Belgium for many years. The TAURUS school desk is a modern, exceptionally durable desk designed to withstand daily use. Now it’s coming to Slovak schools to bring more comfort, less noise, and better learning conditions.

A sturdy construction built to last for years

TAURUS is available in both single-seat and double-seat versions. The frame is made of 50 × 30 mm flat-oval tubing, finished with durable powder coatings, and fitted with plastic end caps that protect the floor.

And the result? Stability, quiet operation, and a long service life even with intensive use.

Quiet closing = a quieter classroom

The biggest innovation of the TAURUS is the hinged panel with gas springs. Thanks to them, the panel does not drop abruptly but closes gently and quietly.

The result is:

  • less disturbance,
  • a more focused atmosphere,
  • a more comfortable learning environment for both teachers and students.

Order that’s visible… or rather, invisible

The desk has a closed metal shelf where students can store all their supplies so that:

  • they have their own place,
  • they aren’t visible from under the desk, and they
don’t create visual chaos in the classroom.

The classroom looks tidier, and students naturally learn to be organized.

Thoughtful details that make a difference

  • Durable worktop with HPL laminate and 8 mm beech plywood
Solid worktop attachment via 4 M6 metric screws
  • two hooks for school bags
  • modern color options
  • Compatibility with LAVA and SOKRATES chairs and TITAN or UNO teacher’s desks

Every detail contributes to ensuring the desk lasts for years and offers modern comfort.

A new product for schools that demand quality

TAURUS isn’t just another desk. It’s a solution that addresses the current needs of schools—from space organization to reducing noise in classrooms. And after years of success abroad, it’s now coming to Slovakia for the first time.
